My journey to health has been almost 10 years in the making. It began with undiagnosed pains, constant tests, and doctors telling me to accept my declining health. To top it off, I was also in an extremely unhealthy long-term relationship. Not only did I not feel good from the inside out, I was made to feel even worse from the outside in. My relationship was not positive, loving or encouraging. Who I was, what I looked like, how I felt, and who I was supposed to be was never good enough.
I was made to feel like self-love and self-care were not priorities.
Even when I was brave enough to leave, I continued down a path of self-destruction and negativity. Finally I was free from someone else’s control, but it took a few years before I was able to escape the negative thoughts that had been engrained into my mind. The beliefs that I wasn’t good enough and that I did not deserve to have a soulful and abundant life was hard to erase. After many years and numerous life changing decisions – leaving my family and friends, moving across the country on my own, going back to school, and most importantly chasing my dreams – I can honestly say I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.
I’ve finally put myself first.
I’ve taken the time to dig deep and realize that I AM worthy. I now understand that self-care is a daily routine that ALL of us should be partaking in. That self-love is the biggest and most important form of growth and happiness.
That I, along with you, deserve to live a nourished and thriving life.
So don’t wait. From this moment forward, make the decision to put your physical, mental, and emotional well being FIRST.
