My Own Personal Vitamin Facial

My Own Personal Vitamin Facial

So I was lucky enough to try out our signature vitamin facial, courtesy of Dr. Heidi Rootes and Dr. Brett Simpson. I believe that it’s important to experience the treatments that I offer, so I understand what my patients are going through first hand. Since this luxurious European beauty therapy involves a series of microinjections, I came in 30 minutes early to apply a topical numbing cream before we started so that I wouldn’t feel the jabs. Dr. Rootes gave me a stress ball to squeeze in case I was scared. It was a nice gesture, but I didn’t need it because I am so used to all kinds of injections from the work that I do.

On a side note, I have found that the people who find injection therapies painful are often those with a fear of needles. When we are scarred, our fight or flight nervous system becomes activate and this results in a heightened sense of pain. So, the best thing that you can do to prepare for any type of injection is to show up well rested, well fed, in a calm state, and use belly breathing to calm the nervous system before and during your treatment.

The procedure is very quick, lasting less then twenty minutes, and while I was aware of the injections, they were more of an annoyance than any actual pain. After the facial, an all-natural hyaluronic acid cream was massaged into my face, which was just delightful. I had a couple of tiny bruises, which is common with this therapy, but nothing that a little foundation couldn’t fix and they went away after a few days. Now my skin is glowing and feels noticeably softer and smoother. Overall, this treatment was definitely worth it and I can now confidently recommend it to my patients.

The microinjections consist of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants, which are both corrective and preventative for skin aging. The location of the facial is always customized to where you need it most. I had a general application to my entire face, but we can choose to concentrate on problem areas if needed. The benefits include increased skin hydration, luminosity and tone, enhanced regeneration, elimination of fine lines and wrinkles, and a slowing of the aging process. For best results we recommend three treatments, one week apart, combined with hydroglow facials ☺
